A markup template is used to apply formatting to a markup so that all markups are consistent throughout an organization. The template can include the logo, a border, and specific fields for markup properties. First, you define the template and then you use that template to create your markups so that all markup sheets have an identical look. The markup template also can be applied to an already existing markup.

If you do not want to create templates for your markups, then the markups automatically display on the default paper size and orientation of Letter (Landscape). You can use the Markup Template Properties tool to change the paper size and orientation.
